A Challenge for Change

How cool is it to put up challenges up to your parents? Ever wondered about this? Well, I did. It seemed a queer thing to do, initially. But later, it turned out pretty much fun. Let me just give you a brief idea about my parents... From my childhood till today, I have known my mom to be the homemaker and my dad to be the breadwinner. So its pretty much clear that mom does all the work at home - from cooking, cleaning to laundry, while dad is sweating out to support it. Never have I seen my dad do household chores, except for the times when mom got pretty ill or had gone out for few days. Now coming to the challenge... A few days back, I had seen this particular ad about Ariel Matic #LaundryGoesOddEven activity. The activity is pretty much simple to follow. To promote gender equality, it only asks the men of the house to help the women with the laundry every alternate day, So I got my parents to sit and explained them this activity. More like, I put it up as a

। Thanks to my Hindi Guru - Surya , for correcting mistakes

'Mom, I Promise'

While I was flipping channels on the TV. Ya, I do watch TV and yes, like most of the people I spend 90 percent of the time switching channels. Okay, so where was I? Ya, while switching channels, I happened to see this one particular ad. The one wherein Hema Malini is promoting an air purifier. (You can check the ad here , in case) And I was like, have we degraded our world to that extent that we need air purifiers to survive. Long ago, during the time of Grrr (Those who don't know who Grrr is, check this -  Story of Evolution ) the water was consumed directly from ponds, rivers and other sources. Later, as the pollution increased (with human population) we went on to use cloth filters and progressed with it to our modern water purifiers. In cities today, consuming water that's not from the filter has become equivalent to drinking poison. Soon, an air purifier will be included in the basic amenities of survival. The huge scarcity of water, has made people t
