A long time ago (age of stone weapons - to know more check previous part ), in some land far far away, Lall troops had evolved to a great extent. They were hunting and cooking, when they found fire and suitable stones. Other times they were traversing different lands. When they did not find any fire, Lall was the most agitated. He was so used to eating cooked food that he detested raw meat. He had a group to try and create fire but all in vain. When they were out of fire they used to move to a new place in search of fire. On one such expedition they came to a strange land. A land filled with many small creatures. This meant a lot more food for the food. But there was a catch (twist in the tale), the stones here were all rounded. Lack of weapons meant a hard time hunting. Lall had no clue what to do. In this time, Seta - the shortest member of the troop - came to the rescue. She was smart. She figured out that rubbing two rounded stones would chip the stones. Lall lear...

A long time ago (after the apes became omnivores - to know more check previous part ), in some land far far away, the apes (Lall troops and others that followed him) had evolved to use fire well, given to them by the lightning god. The troop whenever it found fire used to preserve it, and would light up an entire forest on a hot day. The walking apes, got their food from this magic of fire. Fire was a blessing indeed. The troop had grown in number and migrated to different places as the food diminished. ('Strong troop it is, must say Yoda' - If Yoda had existed during those times :p) With increasing troop size, Grrr and Akti had lost their fame. Lall was the one who got all the credits for the prosperity of the troop. Grrr was too lazy to speak for himself and Akti was too silly to see the perks. A long time ago (soon after apes started learning to walk erect), in some (same) land far far away, the wild fire had consumed most of the resources of the Lall troop. The apes were learning to walk, as the days passed. But with the passing time also came the shortage of food. The apes had previously relied on trees for food (Yes, the apes were vegetarians). With only few scattered trees being available there had been constant quarrels in the troop. The strong ones would bully the weaklings over it. Grrr, Rerr, Akti and few others were facing constant shortage of food due to this inequality. Among these was Jhol, the hungry (That was Jhol's title, so you might have guessed, why he was expelled from his previous clan). He went into the charred forest in search of something to eat. He initially picked up some berries. The fire had amazingly changed the taste. Tasting this amazing treat the fire had offered, he decided to go in further to find something more (both in terms o...

A long time ago (a little after Grrr and his troop discovered fire), in some land far far away, lived Akti, the ape. She lived in the same troop as Grrr. Like the rest even she was expelled from her previous troop. The reason for her expulsion was, she was clumsy at jumping branches. She would fall after a few branches. But she had made up for this lack of talent by learning to walk on her hind limbs. (The apes did not consider her as one of their own cause of this reason) In the new troop, some of the apes including Grrr (and his better half, Rerr) did not approve of her actions. Lall was the one with more liberal views, so he always objected the decision of expelling Akti. On one particular occasion, Grrr was working (ya right Grrr was working, he couldn't live the lazy life after Rerr came in his life). Grrr was assigned the work of keeping fire alive with few other apes. So, Grrr and his team were working after a recent thunderstorm, when they accidentally happene...

A long time ago (thousands of years before humans evolved), in some land far far away, lived Grrr the ape. Grrr was happy living amidst the trees with his troop, till one particular day (ya there is always a particular day for the story). The skies became dark with sadness and began crying loudly (or so the apes thought). And this time with sadness came the anger in form of sparks and noises. These things were quite common for the troop except for Grrr. He had been expelled from his previous troop for being the laziest, but fortunately he was taken in by his current troop. A troop formed by the expelled apes. This troop occupied the most horrid region - few trees, less vegetation, prone to floods and droughts - under the leadership of Lall. Lall was strong and smart, but was expelled by his previous troop for being too horny. Every ape in this troop had a past in some other troop.
