International Trip 3 - Bangkok

We felt like Amitabh Bachchan, while travelling from Phuket to Bangkok. Not because of height but because of the famous line from the movie Kaalia - "Hum jahan khade ho jaate hain, line wahi se shuru hoti hain." Every place that we stood waiting - for the display to notify us of our flight or for a bus - a queue would form behind us like magic. We literally had to inform people that there was no queue here. Such miracles don't happen in India, so it felt good We reached Bangkok by late evening, got a bus which cost us one fifth of what a cab would normally charge and reached Democracy Monument. Our place of stay was at a walking distance from here. Finding the place was a bit tricky, since it was in the narrow lanes or as we call it in hindi - gully. For a gully stay the place was good, though a little small when compared to what we had in Kuala Lumpur or Phuket but good. International Trip 2 - Phuket

After a 2 hour delay we finally boarded the flight to Phuket, Thailand. Oh! did you think the journey had ended in the previous blog ? When 3 travel freaks decide on an International Trip there is bound to be more than one place. Second stamp Mandatory Pic with the plane The flight to Phuket was a miracle. Our fever induced, nauseatic friend Zeyn was cured of his ailments. The good part of Thailand is they have visa on arrival, the bad part is the visa fee payment needs to be done by cash. The net-banking, card using, cashless generation like us were drained of our cash supplies the moment we landed at Phuket International Airport. A tip for those travelling to Thailand - always carry more than sufficient cash. Not many people transact by card and if they do, they are sure to charge you 6% extra.
