Rashtrapati Bhavan goes Missing

Image
The sun is yet to come out, its raining heavily and he has just disconnected a call when the phone rings again. "Hello. Yes I'm on my way. In the rick. They are waiting there", he replies partly yawning and then disconnects. Two different thoughts - Oh man, how I miss my sleep. Haha, fashionably late for a person living so close - running through his head. In a few minutes Mr R is at the airport. At the gate are Miss A, Miss M and Mr H waiting for him. (I'm using short names for the people cause I haven't consented them about this post, so maintaining anonymity plus its fun to write in third person. For those of you who haven't guessed it, yes, Mr R is me). After waiting in a long queue (even though they had got the web check-in done) to deposit the check-in luggage they were finally aboard the Indigo Airlines for the Capital. All four of them had a seat next to the window (because badal zaruri hai)  staring at the clouds as it turned colour from da...

Team Infy @ Alibaug and more...

This one is about the trip after I left Infosys. There are one too many trips that I have been in past 2-12 months that I have not written about, including trip to Manali. So, please bear with me. A good old saintly person by the name of Baba Roysonath once said - Better late than never . FaisalKhan02 My last day in Infy and Faisal Khan02 (my cubicle mate) asked me if I would be interested in a trip to Nagaon/Alibaug. I wasn't sure about it but I don't know why I agreed for it. Sometimes you don't think before you decide and this one was a similar decision. Next day at 5am I get a call that the bus is reaching in 15 minutes, come at the gate of the society. And I was still in bed, sleeping through the alarm, woken up by the call. Somehow I mustered strength to get out of bed, get ready, pack the bag and meet with others boarding from the same place. We were up before the Sun The bus which was supposed to reach in 15 minutes, did take quarter to an hour...

The One With The Coastal Ride

Image
It was 7:30 in the morning of 4th March, 2017 at Chandni Chowk, Pune. 22 people on 18 rides set out for a journey of different sorts. I was also there, like a ghost among the 22 different souls. Thirty minutes into the start and I was thinking, 'Did I make a mistake joining this journey? Do I make some lame excuse and go back home?' This trip was definitely out of my comfort zone. I had been on road trips earlier (with friends) but never on an overnight trip with 22 strangers. It was difficult, for an introvert like me. I need time to mingle up and a day was surely not going to help create that bond. Plus, this was going to be my longest bike expedition till date. But then I thought otherwise, 'It was the trip that I needed not that I wanted.' And then I went with the flow. It was only a week before when I saw this post from Mysterious Rangers that I decided I have to go for this. So I started asking my friends, if they would like to join? And one by on...
